Halloween 2009

I was surprised to find out that FIS celebrated Halloween.  This was the first time, as a teacher, that I was allowed to celebrate Halloween at school.  Halloween is becoming a bigger holiday in Japan every year.  It's mainly a time for adults to party but here's how we celebrated at FIS:

Pre-K thru Grade 2 trick or treated around school.
Grades 3-5 went to McDonalds and then trick-or-treated around the closest neighborhood. (The school provided the candy.)
Grade 3 had a Halloween sleepover at school (This used to be a whole school tradition.).
Elementary had a Halloween Fashion Show.
High School put on a mini carnival for Elementary and Middle Schoolers.

It was a busy but fun day!

Happy Halloween!

BOO!

Mr. and Mrs. Hendricks...I think!
